Rules for dummies: Hiring a President who hates the private sector, and loves expanding the size of government NEVER works!

C'mon Daisy........hates the private sector and loves expanding government?????

Isn't that like saying GW hated raising taxes on his rich buddies and loved sending American troops to their needless deaths?

C'mon DD....what's anything George W. "Shrub" (a little Bush) did got to do with all the current government take over of private business?

Isn't your comment about as relevant as saying "Well, ol' Grover Cleveland did so and so?

PS...I don't think consumers are the only ones losing confidence! :!:

My point was: why make moronic exagerations about anyone. I didn't like GW/Cheney's  war, but I never said they did it because they loved sending our troops to a needless death. I just used GW because he is fresh in our minds. Maybe I should have said George Washington didn't winter his troops in Valley Forge because he loved the cold.

Do you need any more examples?????

Daisy's comment is what it is...a factoid..."an item of unreliable information that is repeated so often that it becomes accepted as fact"

Welcome back DD...it was gettin' pretty lonely in here. Glad to see ya still have your sense of humor  ...and if you have more examples, I'd love to hear 'em !! 8)

KIR......... I think it was more like an "opiniontoid". The carrier had to pepper spray the dog to keep from getting bit........ and it becomes "the carrier loves to pepper spray dogs".

Anyways......... I just got back Wednesday from a 1700 mile, 10 day road trip and I'm recuperating. Vacationing can be a lot of work.

DDeath, 1700 miles - I am going to guess that you went to Branson. I am trying to estimate from Chicago. 8)

Dazed........... have never been to Branson, but want to eventually get there. It's about 550 miles from me.

We flew to Denver. My brother-in-law and his wife drove there from Houston and picked us up at the airport. We drove to Cheyenne, Wy., stayed overnight, then went to Jackson Hole (2 days in the Grand Tetons), then a night in Gardiner, Mt. (2 days in Yellowstone Park), a night in Buffalo, Wy. on our way to Rapid City, SD, where we saw Mount Rushmore, the Crazy Horse Monument, and Custer State Park. We did stop for lunch and a few hours in Deadwood which has many saloons and small casinos. We drove back to Denver for our return flight.

A great trip, and for anyone who hasn't been to those places......... DO IT! :)

We did stop at Sturgis for gas on the way back.......... what I saw of it looked pretty good. Lots of bikers all over the area (CO, WY, MT, SD). Unfortunately, while we were in Jackson Hole, a biker and his lady had a confrontation with a car in Yellowstone Park and he's gone while she ended up on the critical list at the local hospital. Guess that's why I'm scared to go over 30 MPH on those contraptions.

At our Jackson Hole motel, I started talking to a biker. Turns out he was from Oregon and is the Rep for Harley, for about six states in the Northwest, including California. He was going to Sturgis, but first had to go to Milwaukee. He loves his job........... riding his bike all over the country and GETTING PAID for it!

Also talked to a biker who rode all the way from Florida........... almost 2500 miles.

DDeath, that sounds like a nice trip. I live out here and have never been to those places.

KeepItReal, I will look out for her.
